If you are looking for great vegan reads than these two are definitely my top picks!
Going Vegan by Joni Marie Newman and Gerrie L. Adams is a great read for those who are curious about veganism and want there questions answer! I feel that they do a really good job at explaining everything to know and giving recipes for you to try as well! For me this was the book that completely changed me and made me want to start becoming Vegan. Now I am not perfect in anyway. I still occasionally eat animal products when I am out and about but I am starting to find items on the menu that I like and I can adjust to make it vegan approved!
Food 52: Vegan by Gena Hamshaw, foreword by Amanda Hesser and Merrill Stubbs is a favourite of mine with its recipes. It doesn’t talk in depth like my first choice but instead offers great recipes that you’ve probably already had before and now they are just making it without any animal products. For example: Lentil Sloppy Joes is a family favourite of ours and this summer squash pasta. For the most part they are recipes with ingredients that you have heard of so it’s not so scary to try!
